Drenched from head to toe, Shibi simply stood there and stared at them blankly. Business as usual. However, this time, both Mei and Kushina had the pleasure -- or displeasure depending on the perspective -- of seeing the annoyance in his eyes. Purple. Who would have thought?

But rather than go through the effort of getting his sunglasses back from where it was being twirled around Kushina's fingers, the young Aburame simply turned on the balls of his heels and walked away. No exchange of words. No monotone reprimand for what they had done. Just a soft sigh and a twitch of his brow before he fled the scene in his own fashion.

Yes. Definitely business as usual.

"Was that really necessary?" Mei inquired when he was far enough away.

"No," was Kushina's response, deft fingers still toying with the object in her hand, "But we haven't done it in a while."

Initially, she made to protest that idea. But after a moment of thought to regard Kushina's statement, Mei conceded and simply gave a nod before responding nonchalantly, "...Good point."

And after a moment of silence, both burst out in a fit of laughter that the entire village was more than familiar with.
